Aizen escapes Soul Society and creates the Arrancar (Hollows who broke their masks to gain Shinigami powers). The main threat is the Espada—the top 10 Arrancar ranked by power. Ichigo travels to Hueco Mundo (the Hollow dimension) to save Orihime. This arc has some of the best fights: Ichigo vs. Grimmjow and Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra (Episode 166: "The One Who Devours Hearts" is a visual masterpiece).
