For the uninitiated, LingQ is a web and mobile application built around the concept of "learning from content you love." Unlike Duolingo or Babbel, which use rigid curricula, LingQ allows you to import YouTube videos, podcasts, news articles, and eBooks. You then read and listen simultaneously, tapping any unknown word or phrase to create a "LingQ" (flashcard). The system tracks your known words and gradually introduces you to new vocabulary in context.
