Unlike some textbooks that assume you already know the alphabet, Active Korean 1 starts from absolute zero. This section teaches the consonants (ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ…) and vowels (ㅏ, ㅑ, ㅓ, ㅕ…) as well as batchim (final consonants). By the end of this chapter, you will be able to read Korean signs and basic words.
