Mb1364 Schematic
Use a function generator (1kHz sine, 100mVpp) into Pin 1. Probe Pin 3 with an oscilloscope. If you see no amplified signal, but the DC offset is present, the output transistor is likely dead—not the MB1364.
The MB1364 was a darling of 1980s Japanese arcade hardware. Search for: mb1364 schematic
Look for the "black bugs"—the optocouplers. On the MB1364 schematic, you will likely see a bank of these components. Use a function generator (1kHz sine, 100mVpp) into Pin 1
I recently bought 10 "MB1364" from an online surplus store. 5 of them were actually STR-F6654 chips with the label sanded off. Check the underside of the IC. A genuine MB1364 has a distinct, matte black resin with a slight indentation around Pin 1. The MB1364 was a darling of 1980s Japanese arcade hardware
The schematic will show a current sense resistor (0.22Ω) between source of MOSFET and ground, feeding back to Pin 5 for cycle-by-cycle current limiting.
