The original North American release was rushed. It contained several spelling errors, minor graphical glitches, and a few balance issues. The European release (published later in late 1997 / early 1998) incorporated the bug fixes from the later Japanese "International" version but retained the original English script (unlike the Japanese International version, which was a hybrid).
