Last advice: If a driver installer claims to support "Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, all in one 64-bit," check the file size. If it’s under 20 MB, it’s fake. Real driver packs are 500 MB – 4 GB.
If you see a yellow exclamation mark in the Device Manager under "Ports (COM & LPT)," it usually means the VCOM driver is installed but not active. Connecting the phone in the correct boot state (e.g., holding Volume Down while plugging in the USB) usually "wakes" the driver.
