The device utilizes a proprietary USB 2.0/3.0 controller chip that does not adhere strictly to standard HID (Human Interface Device) or mass storage classes. Consequently, generic operating system drivers cannot communicate with it. This is where the becomes mandatory.

Right out of the box, the HJX-001 feels substantial. The housing is a fiberglass-reinforced nylon composite with an over-molded rubber grip.
