When using a Skyrim SE LOD mod, keep the following tips in mind:
SMIM doesn't generate LOD itself, but it changes the shape of ropes, chains, and signposts. If you don't include SMIM in your LOD generation, your distant ropes will snap back to ugly blocky vanilla shapes when you approach. You need consistency.
