Under the hood lies a 24-voice, multimbral synthesizer based on Roland’s engine—a close relative of the JX-10 and MKS-70. It features two oscillators per voice, cross-modulation, a resonant filter (a rarity in affordable ROMplers of its era), and a built-in digital effects processor.
