The movie follows , a young high school student living in a remote village in Banyuwangi, East Java. Years before the events of the film, Rayan witnessed the brutal murder of his father under mysterious circumstances involving an exorcism gone wrong. During that incident, a curse tied to the infernal Khanzab was placed upon him.
Now in the present, Rayan is haunted every time he attempts to pray. The moment he bows his head, Khanzab appears, whispering, laughing, and physically tormenting him. Unable to complete his prayers, Rayan’s faith collapses.
