Dashboard-school Cheats |best| File
California, 2024. A high school senior used a CSRF exploit to raise her history grade from a D to a B. She was accepted to UCLA. Two weeks before graduation, a routine audit caught the discrepancy. UCLA rescinded her admission. She attended community college instead.
Millions of students have tried right-clicking their grade, selecting "Inspect," and editing the number. This is often touted as a "cheat." It is not. You are simply editing the text on your own screen—like using a marker on a printed report card. The teacher’s gradebook remains untouched. Dashboard-school Cheats
Students often believe that by finding the class name or ID of a grade or an answer key in the code, they can change it. While it is true that you can temporarily edit the text on your screen to say "Grade: A" instead of "Grade: B," this is purely cosmetic. The change exists only in the user's browser cache and is not saved on the school’s server. Once the page refreshes, the real grade returns. While this doesn't compromise the school's data, it is often used to falsify screenshots to show parents, creating an illusion of success. California, 2024
