The XML compiled fine (so alvin2.xml exists in the APK), but at runtime, Android cannot create one of the views because: alvin2.xml android

Open alvin2.xml in Android Studio. The linter will underline the error in red. Fix the syntax or replace missing resources. but at runtime

Then navigate to extracted_output/res/layout/alvin2.xml . It will be in a readable (not binary) format.
