Crawford Automatic 300 Se Manual Here
To keep your Crawford Automatic 300 SE running for 15+ years, follow this schedule exactly as printed in the maintenance appendix.
The Crawford 300 Se is equipped with an integrated safety obstruction system. According to the manual, you should perform a "Block Test" monthly. Place a 2x4 piece of wood flat on the ground under the door. When the door hits the wood, it should automatically reverse within two seconds. If it doesn't, the force settings need immediate adjustment via the dials on the back of the unit. Crawford Automatic 300 Se Manual
The 300 SE uses mechanical cams on a threaded shaft or, in newer versions, electronic potentiometers. The manual provides millimeter-accurate distances for the “up” limit (door fully open, not stressing the springs) and “down” limit (door sealed on the floor without crushing the gasket).
