Xtrons: Firmware Update

Always read the release notes. Sometimes an update changes the launcher or removes certain apps.

✅ – Save your offline maps, music, and app settings to an external USB drive or cloud. ✅ Stable power source – Keep your car engine running OR connect a battery charger. A power cut during flashing = bricked unit. ✅ USB drive (FAT32 format) – 8GB to 16GB recommended. Avoid using SD cards for firmware updates (more unreliable). ✅ Disable “Boot to Sleep” mode – In settings, turn off “Shutdown Delay” or “Sleep Mode.” ✅ Remove unnecessary USB devices – Disconnect dashcams, 4G dongles, and USB hubs. ✅ Charge your car battery – A weak battery can drop voltage mid-update. xtrons firmware update

The MCU handles the hardware inputs and outputs. If your steering wheel controls stopped working, or if the radio tuner is behaving erratically, an MCU update is often the fix. These updates are smaller and install much faster than full OS updates. Always read the release notes
