Unlike the five previous Ones, Neo chooses the — he chooses love over logic. He races back into the Matrix, saves Trinity from a fall (but is unable to prevent her being wounded). However, he does catch her, breaking the prophecy.

Zion, the last human city, is preparing for an impending attack by the Machines. The Council, led by the Hamann (Anthony Zerbe), knows that 250,000 Sentinels are drilling toward Zion. They have only 72 hours before the invasion.

"The Matrix Reloaded" was released in 2003, just four years after the original film. The movie takes place six months after the events of the first film and follows Neo (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), and Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) as they continue to fight against the machines that have created the simulated reality of the Matrix. The story introduces new characters, including Persephone (Natalie Portman), a seductive and mysterious rogue program, and Twins (Tad Hennig and Eric Roberts), a pair of eerie and deadly duplicates.
