While you can update firmware over Wi-Fi, it is highly recommended to use an Ethernet cable (LAN cable). Connect your computer or laptop directly to one of the yellow LAN ports on the Tenda N301. This eliminates the risk of the wireless signal dropping mid-update, which can corrupt the router’s memory.
