Released in the late 2000s, iGO 8 by NAV N GO (now part of NNG LLC) set standards for 3D landmarks and voice guidance. However, road networks change; thus, an "update" is critical for accuracy. Unlike modern connected GPS units, iGO 8 requires manual file replacement.
