Sandrine Kiberlain, Marina Foïs, and Nicolas Duvauchelle round out the ensemble, each portraying a different coping mechanism: denial, stoicism, and naïve optimism, respectively. The chemistry between the actors is electric, aided by Maïwenn’s direction style which often utilized improvisation to capture the messiness of real conversation.
