Naruto Shippuden -dub- Fixed Jun 2026

Subject: Helpful Guide / Tips for Watching Naruto Shippuden -Dub- Body: Hey everyone! If you’re diving into the Naruto Shippuden English dub (whether for the first time or a rewatch), here are a few helpful pointers to make your experience smoother. 1. Where to Watch the Complete Dub

Hulu (US): Has the full English dub for all 500 episodes. Crunchyroll: Now includes the dub after the Sony/Funimation merger (availability varies by region). Disney+/Star (select regions): Some countries have the first several arcs dubbed. DVD/Blu-ray: Completely released in English by Viz Media.

Warning: Streaming catalogs sometimes split the dub vs. sub. Always check that you’ve selected “English” audio — not just “English subtitles.” 2. Filler Episode Shortcuts Shippuden has a lot of filler (about 41% of the series). If you want to stick to canon manga storylines:

Episodes 1–56 – Mostly canon (with minor filler). 57–71 – Long filler arc (skip if desired). 72–112 – Back to canon. 113–118 – Mini filler. 119–120 – Canon. 121–125 – Filler. 126–143 – Mixed / anime-original. 144–151 – Filler. 152–169 – Canon. 170–171 – Filler. 172–175 – Canon. 176–196 – Filler. 197–222 – Canon. 223–242 – Filler. 243–256 – Canon. 257–260 – Filler. 261–295 – Canon. 296–302 – Filler. 303–320 – Canon. 321–346 – Filler / mixed. 347–361 – Canon. 362–363 – Filler. 364–500 – Mostly canon (some slower pacing but essential). Better option: Search “Naruto Shippuden filler list” — plenty of community-maintained guides. 3. Dub Voice Consistency

The main cast (Maile Flanagan as Naruto, Yuri Lowenthal as Sasuke, Kate Higgins as Sakura, etc.) is excellent throughout. A few minor characters had voice changes after the original Naruto series. Don’t be surprised if, for example, some Sound Ninja or early villains sound different. The dub keeps the original Japanese music and sound effects — only voices are replaced.

4. Watch Order (with Movies) The English dub for Shippuden movies is spotty. Here’s where the dubbed movies fit (chronologically): Subject: Helpful Guide / Tips for Watching Naruto

Movie 1 (Naruto Shippuden the Movie) – After ep 32 (dubbed). Movie 2 (Bonds) – After ep 71 (dubbed). Movie 3 (Will of Fire) – After ep 121 (dubbed). Movie 4 (The Lost Tower) – After ep 175 (dubbed). Movie 5 (Blood Prison) – After ep 221 (dubbed — available). Movie 6 (Road to Ninja) – After ep 311 (dubbed — available). Movie 7 (The Last) – After ep 479, before ep 480–500 (dubbed — widely available).

Note: Movies 4–6 had delayed dub releases, so you may need to buy/rent digitally. 5. Sub vs. Dub – What’s Different?

Attack names: Still in English (“Rasengan,” “Chidori”), but some jutsu are slightly reworded for lip flaps. Honorifics: Mostly removed (“Kakashi-sensei” becomes “Kakashi” or “Master Kakashi”). Dialogue tone: The dub makes certain comedic scenes broader and emotional scenes slightly more direct. The story remains identical. Where to Watch the Complete Dub Hulu (US):

6. Common Dub Issues

Streaming glitches: On some platforms, episodes may randomly switch to Japanese audio. Just toggle back. Missing episodes: If you skip filler, you might miss 1–2 canon scenes inside filler arcs (e.g., episode 90 has a canon flashback). Check a detailed filler guide. Pronunciation: The dub uses “Naruto” (na-roo-toe) vs. original “Nah-ru-toe” — minor, but some find it distracting at first.
