Electronic warfare officers (EWOs) use PRF against the enemy as well. A predictable PRF is a dead radar. Once an enemy RWR (Radar Warning Receiver) identifies the PRF of your radar, they know exactly which fighter is hunting them (e.g., the specific PRF signature of an F-16's AN/APG-68).
