While newer EDIUS 5.5+ shifted toward Windows 7 support, Xplode Pro 4.60 remains compatible with the 5.x series, providing the same real-time effect capabilities.

The transition to 64-bit computing eventually signaled the end for Xplode Pro. As Edius moved to version 6, 7, and eventually 8/9 (which are fully 64-bit), the 32-bit architecture of Xplode Pro 4.60 became incompatible. Grass Valley eventually replaced the Xplode architecture with the newer "Vistitle Canopus Xplode Pro 4.60 for Edius 5.x4.x.16
