The flue pipe must match the connection diameter and run at least half a meter vertically before any bends.

In a standard SCT, light enters the tube, bounces off the primary mirror at the back, hits the secondary mirror at the front, and travels back down the tube to the focuser. The Fastar system changes the game by allowing the user to unscrew the secondary mirror assembly. In its place, the user installs a camera lens adapter (often called a Fastar lens assembly) and places a CCD or CMOS camera directly at the prime focus of the primary mirror.

A single strand of graphene-kevlar hybrid, rated to 4,000 kN. Unlike a normal rope, the Fastar’s core is alive with micro-sensors. It measures tension, torsion, temperature, and — most critically — the heart rate of the climber clipped to it.

Anchor the Nerve-Line to a bombproof point. Walk 20 meters away and pull with 80% of your body weight. The Net will remain dormant. Pull with 120% — simulating a fall — and the nearest petal will fire. Do not test this more than twice per expedition. The nets have a memory.
