Inside the UPS, an automatic transfer switch relay moves between "line power" and "battery power." If this relay welds shut or fails open, the UPS cannot switch modes. Similarly, over years of thermal cycling (heating and cooling), solder joints on the main power board can crack, leading to intermittent contact that triggers Error 02000.
