Renault Df245

This is the most prevalent cause in high-mileage vehicles. Over time, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) deposits carbon and soot into the intake manifold. This sticky, black residue builds up around the spindle of the intake flaps. Eventually, the carbon hardens, physically seizing the flaps in place. The motor tries to move them, fails, and the ECU throws the DF245 code.

As the central hub for interior electronics, a software glitch or hardware failure in the UCH can cause the DF245 error. renault df245
